We love seasonal celebrations, and Halloween is the perfect chance to get into the spirit of fun, festivities, and community both on and off your e-bike.
We’ve rounded up our favourite tricks (and treats) for celebrating Halloween in style.
Spookily spruce up your space
Getting into the Halloween spirit doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming! A few additions and changes can really make your space feel appropriately spooky:
- Utilise lights: Whether you’ve got Halloween-specific decorative lights, LED string lights, or a range of lamps, atmospheric lighting can go a long way in creating the perfect Halloween vibe.
- DIY decorations: Halloween truly is the DIY season, from carving pumpkins to cutting out spooky shapes to stick on the wall (we’d recommend bats and ghosts for something easy and effective).

Use empty bottles and jars: Reuse empty bottles and jars for decorations, either by filling them with battery-powered lights or with coloured water using food colouring, and add a spooky label!
Bring some spirit(s) to your TENWAYS e-bike
Get creative with some Halloween decorations for your e-bike, like fake spider webs, LED lights, and spooky streamers.
Our favourite? Attaching miniature plastic skeletons to any of your carrier racks (they won’t interfere with your ride and they’re still fun!).
Safety can also be spooky, though, as reflective decals can increase your visibility whilst also staying seasonally fun.
Make costumes easy and community-driven
Again, not everything has to be expensive or complex! You can easily opt for skeleton face paint or a white, knee-length sheet over your head (with very clear eye holes for visibility!) to go as a ghost.
If you’re more of a Halloween fanatic, costumes and cosplays are just another fun way to join in, especially if you’re open to hosting a costume competition.
We’d recommend organising a Halloween-themed route through your local neighbourhood to see all of the decorations and displays, and you can easily add a costume competition for other riders to enjoy!
Take time to connect
A lot of the joy of Halloween is the time we spend with loved ones, whether it’s friends and family or people from our neighbourhood or community.
It’s the perfect time to utilise social media, specifically community and local pages, to see what events they have on during the month.

Stay safe and worry-free
Given that a lot of your Halloween activities will be during the darker hours, it’s important to stay safe.
Here are a few ways to keep everything worry-free:

Use bright front and rear lights: You can stay safe and on-theme with additional LED lights attached to your e-bike, but be sure to opt for clear front and rear lights for optimal visibility, too.
- Keep costumes practical: It’s easy for costumes to end up tangling in wheels if you’re not careful! Cut any capes, cloaks, or other additions with the wheels in mind, or any other potential impairments (e.g., masks should have full visibility).
- Be prepared: Make sure your e-bike is fully charged before you leave, and if you’ve got the space, pack some snacks and drinks for longer Halloween trips to stay hydrated and energised.
